Self taught Chinese In chapter 12 of Joshua I make a note about Chinese language and the Agenda- Debar- plan held by the Chinese leadership in respect of USA- which interestingly in some translations of Daniel’s final chapters makes an appearance as being a ‘beautiful’ country which is what China has named her- Mei Guo. Hence this essay which literally has nothing what so ever to do with Bible Translation of Joshua but I would be remiss to mention my five years put into building up a high speed superior- will in the future be the only method- way of teaching and learning written Chinese. But this Elephant is so big filling the current room where Chinese language is taught- any room where a Chinese teacher is teaching Chinese Characters even if it is an Eskimo teacher teaching Eskimo children Chinese Characters on the north slope of Alaska; The Elephant is in the room and the Cultural Pride of the Chinese people has rendered to teaching method to be anti intellectual and actually destructive to the brain formatting and brain development actually needed to learn correctly and easily. If in any linguistic teaching process these is the killer- Stress- chances are the vital parts of the brain needed for the learning process have shut down and failure is the result. Well what we have encountered is these critical individual elements- each with a little picture to go with it- characters- can share the same sound but the tone- direction of the sound- from a deep MAA to a finally short Mah! And Chinese character subtitle TV gives you frequency with the Rolls Royce of subtitle TV being when you get Chinese Characters and for high speed comprehension as well and English script and the Chinese sound all coming at once- to you –it isn’t- Appearing to be overloaded brain. If you are a Chinese missionary who has visited China returned to USA –fluent Chinese speaker. You name is on this data base… So Hey we need skilled missionaries in New Zealand… Uzbekistan calls? My top one hundred Chinese names character Da which has the travel element indicating movement has been simplified to the Da of big- so is Da riding on the travel element and means –arrive- but has lost the vital different Da element in simplification. Making sounds without comprehension or understanding being steered off in the wrong direction so as not to understand why people have gone before to make rules that destroy access to truth- Even in the Hebrew Bible! Well when I am in an Evil situation I need as a reader of the Hebrew Bible to have “Companion’ and yes the same word can mean ‘shepherd’ Well in the valley of the shadow of death sure I can see it is Evil but Jesus save me I need with me The Companion who if I read and translate another way is My shepherd.
